United Support Services

Supporting people to build skills, confidence and greater independence.

We support adults with learning disabilities and autism across Cornwall through supported living, outreach and our Skills Centre. Our focus is on helping people take part in everyday life, learn new skills and do more for themselves.

LIFE BEYOND SUPPORT

Opening the Door to Real Experiences

Whether it’s time by the coast, getting involved in the community, learning new skills or simply enjoying meaningful moments, we support people to live fuller lives in ways that matter to them.

Our Services

How We Support People

Our services are designed around the individual, with support focused on everyday life, skills, independence and meaningful opportunities.

Supported Living

Tailored support in people’s own homes, focused on independence, daily living, communication, wellbeing and quality of life.

Skills Centre

Practical, engaging support that helps people build confidence, develop life skills and take part in meaningful activities.

Outreach

Flexible support that helps people access their community, build confidence, develop skills and take part in everyday life.

OUR APPROACH

Support with Purpose

Good support is about understanding the person, building on their strengths and creating opportunities for them to do more for themselves.

Person-Led Support

Support is shaped around the individual, their communication, preferences, goals and what matters to them.

Active Support

We encourage people to take part in everyday activities and build skills, rather than having things routinely done for them.

Positive Behaviour Support

We seek to understand why behaviours happen and use that learning to improve quality of life and reduce unnecessary restrictions.

Skills & Independence

We help people build practical skills, confidence and greater independence at a pace that works for them.
